More artisan makers!!! converted jewellery, watches and detailed pieces that give personality and uniqueness to the wearer. We plan to continue in the development and expansion of our line of steampunk corsets for 2012.

I, for my own part, will continue in my role as series editor of Untreed Read’s Space: 1889 & Beyond (www.facebook.com/space1889beyond) and do my best to bring you the cutting edge in steampunk adventure serials, by assembling some of the best and brightest authors out there. And, yes, we WILL reach Mars. Next month in fact, with Frank Chadwick’s ‘A Prince of Mars’. :)

See you all out there! :)

Not to mention the handsome gentleman with all the gears and gadgets that had me all giddy like a school girl. Thanks for the photo opp! I’m excited to create my own Steam punk outfits and accessories, April in SanDiego I’m so there!

From what I’m seeing..there is no limit. Steampunk in space….let’s get going!

I saw the flare of vitriol from the anti-biebers, the yells of jump ship and flee, but I could only be amused by such exclamations. I have been greatly inspired by this genre, both in writings, and in multiple DIY styles, and from all I can say and the people I know, steampunk is here to stay.

So long live the steam!

I definitely think that’s great and largely unexplored territory for steampunk. After all, both Verne and Wells looked at space travel in their writings.

Other than the Larklight books by Philip Reeve, there has been almost no space-set steampunk. Bring it on, I say, and it sounds like Misa is going to be in the vanguard.

And Misa, I’m so glad I could inspire a new idea! Make sure you let me know when your novella comes out!

It’s a movement I have enjoyed watching grow for some years now & I would be disappointed to see the bubble burst too soon as it is still something the ignorant bystander can stumble across quite innocently & slowly submerge themselves in as I did.
Obviously I am writing this from a UK perspective where Steampunk is still very much in its infancy, I believe, so we have everything to look forward to! Clear skies for airships on the horizon indeed. . .
(I reblogged this at http://lauraaftermidnight.wordpress.com/ I hope you don’t mind) x

I certainly hope so, seeing as my own steamy novella is being published later this year.

And thanks to Kady Cross for giving me an idea for another one, LOL.
