Forgive for being late to the Ball. You held my interest till the very end, then, crunch. Pray tell why would anyone *want* to recreate the bad parts of an era? This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, I have heard no one say "I want to recreate slavery (sexism/child labor/PLAGUE/etc.)!" To do so would make me question your sanity. We have a history of slavery thrust in our faces 24-7-365 of our lives (at least in the US). Is it too much to begrudge a little time away from it? The last I looked Steampunk was not about those things.
