Every year, the unveiling of the holiday windows at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City is a big deal. In fact, this year they released a very limited edition (550 copies) book about their windows (over $800 on Amazon!).

Their windows are always a visual treat, but their year we have some definite steampunk (or at least 19th century mixed with fantasy) elements and tone to some of them. With gears, homemade-looking cars, armillary spheres, and even a moon-bound sparkling octopus, the windows are right at the “intersection of technology and romance,” Jake von Slatt’s definition of steampunk.

Have a look and let us know what you think.
