Pushcart Prizes, Flying Squid, and More…

A collection of links and items that may be of interest to my fellow steampunks:
- Jenny Ortiz’s story “Out of Steam Punk and Zombie Comes Bruce Lee” has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize. It is not a steampunk story, but the characters apparently come from one. Read it and enjoy.
- Scientific American has an article that shows clearly that squid can fly. I though you squidpunk tentacle fans would like that one.
- The Steampunk Society of Indiana University took over Rachael’s Cafe in Bloomington on Friday for “Steampunk Night.” And some steampunks in the Gainsville, Florida area held an afternoon tea this past Saturday in Kanapaha Park. [both via Tampa Steampunk]
- Casting is taking place in Los Angeles for a film called Steampunk Samurai Biker Chick. I might have to miss this one. [via io9].
