Nominations Now Open for 2011 Steampunk.Com Awards

2011 Steampunk.com Awards

I’m pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the second (sort of) annual(ish) Steampunk.com awards. Okay, last year we only did “Book of the Year” and we did it in December instead of January, but think of it as a trial run. This year is the real deal.

We have 11 categories, ranging from novel to video to game. You can make one nomination per category, so choose wisely. All nominations must be in by the end of the day on Friday, January 20, 2012. The top 5 nominees will make the final ballot with voting starting on the 23rd.

You can leave comments below if you want, but only nominations entered into the form will count. Please don’t try to stuff the ballot box. Cheating is not cool. Thanks.

The Night Watchman Express is a fast paced novel with some of the best characters I’ve met in a book!

The Rise of Aester game pulls together the artistic flair of steampunk, and makes it available in a workable game format, for those of us who like to role play.

It’s easy enough to get dressed up and pose for pictures. But Rise of Aester allows us to dress up and “do” something fun.

  3. Erin P. says:

Check out Red Angel, a new steampunk comic series from What the Flux Comics. If you like it, please vote for it!

  4. Last year saw the release of SteamPunk Magazine: The First Years, an anthology that collects together the first 7 issues of the magazine! All issues of which are still available for free download from the site.

  5. Aly James says:

Raven Dane’s Cyrus Darian and the Technomicron is the outstanding, standout steampunk novel of 2011.
Can’t wait for the sequel later this year!

  6. Angela Barton says:

Cyrus Darian and The Technomicron introduced me to Steampunk and a world I can’t wait to visit again! Read it and vote for it! You will not be disappointed. Great characters and a story that is captivating and thrilling from beginning to end.

While I think all these comments are great, I want to remind people that only nominations done on the above form will be counted.
