“Gearteeth” is a steampunk-horror novel set in the dying days of the Old West, which takes place after a virulent disease sweeps the nation and sends humanity scurrying to the skies aboard ramshackle flying cities. Published by Blysster Press, the first three chapters are available on my site at http://timothy-black.com/books-stories/gearteeth/
My new steampunk action/adventure novel has just been released. The first chapter of ‘The Lightning Bolts of Zeus’ is available at the Dark Oak Press website.
If you like this genre take a look at Joan Aiken’s “Wolves of Willoughby Chase” and the amazingly inventive series of books that followed it – all set in her own fantastic historical world – England in the reign of the Stuart kings who never were, where wolves coming through the newly built channel tunnel are terrorising the country, and attacking the trains racing across the snowy landscape…. http://www.joanaiken.com/pages/wolves_chronicals.html
or “The Cockatrice Boys” set in a terrifying future where monstrous Cockatrices have taken over, and a brave band of warriors set out in their special train to defeat them… http://us.macmillan.com/thecockatriceboys

the best steampunk books I have ever read for young adults is “the laws of magic” by michael pryor. The most amazing books, the plotline is fantastic and the characters incredible. I would absolutely recommend it
I’ll take a look at “The Alchemy of Stone†and comment if I can.
I write and read sci-fi crime.
My interest turned to Steampunk after finding this site a while ago. I have published several (what I hope are Steampunk) stories on Kindle.
They don’t have a Steampunk category there.
I wonder how long it will take for them to wake up to this genre?
The Alchemy of Stone is actually the book of the day today on steampunk.com. If you’d like to stop by and comment, that would be great.

Here’s a steampunk book for young adults I read a year or so ago. It’s called “The Alchemy of Stone” and it’s a romance with a steampunk twist. I found it to be quite good. I just thought you might find it worthy to be added here. Love the site!

One of my favorite steampunk series in the Leviathan trilogy by Scott Westerfeld. These books really got me into steampunk.
