I’m the co-producer at Battleground Productions here in Seattle Washington, and we’re preparing an audacious launch of a multi-platform Steampunk adventure serial called BRASS. We’re going to be releasing an audio serial, producing a late-night show, and running a Kickstarter to get a short film produced, all starting in March. We’d love to get you on our press release list. Could you let me know what the best way to doing so might be? Thanks much!

Published by Blysster Press, the first three chapters are available on my site at http://timothy-black.com/books-stories/gearteeth/

It’s Steampunk and I haven’t seen a good Steampunk game in years. Nikola Tesla is in it.
For something more historically accurate a video game called Assassin’s Creed Victory has been announced. It takes place in the Victorian Era with a lot of historical accuracy.

There could be elements that are steampunk, certainly, but it’s more in line with these subgenres.
The one that’s truly steampunk is Bioshock Infinite. That’s the third and most recent one. I know that’s severely pedantic, but I couldn’t leave without (attempting to kindly) point that out. Also, I highly recommend Bioshock Infinite to steampunk fans! It’s an intense and wonderful game.

If you could answer any of these questions it would be much appreciated. Also if you want to include any information about your company, please do. Thank you for your time.
1. How would you define steampunk?
2. What aspects of Steampunk are you drawn to?
3. Would you say steampunk is about aesthetics or function, both? And Why?
4. What is the relationship between craftsmanship and fashion? Do you think steampunk and its designers put an emphasis on craftsmanship?
5. Do you believe steampunk is a subculture or a fashion trend?
6. Steampunk has become visible in the media, do you believe steampunk is becoming more popular and mainstream? What effect does this have?
7. When steampunk moves away from boutique shops and designers to mass production, do you think this will hurt the ideals of steampunk?
8. How accessible is Steampunk? Prices, styles, and culture wise
9. What is the future of Steampunk?

Comment on Steampunk Serials by Elizabeth McKeown http://www.steampunk.com/fiction/serials/comment-page-1/#comment-255088 Mon, 22 Sep 2014 22:31:20 +0000 http://expat.steampunk.com/#comment-255088 I’ve started writing a Steampunk novel of my own, and I release new chapters every Monday over on my DeviantART page. It’s called Professor Cuthbert Q. Berkley’s Fantastic Contraption, and I already have the first chapter of Act One uploaded. However, there’s a lack of constructive criticism in the comments which is most needed since this is my first time writing for the Steampunk genre, so any comments on my efforts are most welcome.

I watched he whole thing and I`m glad I did. Simply brilliant.

They run the gamut from superhero to wild west to fairy tale. There are a few illustrations, too.

They are available in e-book (for $1) and softcover from Amazon here:

You can also read the entire first story for free here:
