Nominations Now Open for 2011 Steampunk.Com Awards

2011 Steampunk.com Awards

January 12, 2012

I’m pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the second (sort of) annual(ish) Steampunk.com awards. Okay, last year we only did “Book of the Year” and we did it in December instead of January, but think of it as a trial run. This year is the real deal.

We have 11 categories, ranging from novel to video to game. You can make one nomination per category, so choose wisely. All nominations must be in by the end of the day on Friday, January 20, 2012. The top 5 nominees will make the final ballot with voting starting on the 23rd.

The 2011 Steampunk.com Awards

The Steampunk.com Awards (The Copper Cogs?)

December 22, 2010

Having just concluded the 2010 Book of the Year balloting, I am already looking towards next year where I hope to have a more comprehensive set of awards, tentatively nicknamed the “Copper Cogs.” While this year’s nomination and voting process ran fairly smoothly, there are definite areas for improvement next year. I’ll list some of those here, but I am all ears for other suggestions. Along about October, I will probably ask again, but please make suggestions now if you have some.
